Sherryl had a weekly check-in today with her radiology oncologist -- all is going as planned. The only caution is Sherryl is not to lift anything over 20 lbs. The doctors and nurses at the Marin Cancer Institute are phenomenally thorough. They not only address Sherryl's treatment and pain, they ensure all aspects of her life are maintained in order to optimize her well-being. Resources are available that provide support on a variety of topics. It's true, there are angels in our midst.
Sherryl has resumed weekly physical therapy sessions at the Tiburon Physical Therapy Center, and has begun Pilates, a strength-building low-impact exercise.
Another appointment is scheduled tomorrow with the Oncology Nurse Practitioner. Sherryl will learn tomorrow the tumor marker, which has not been recorded in two months. Zometa will also be administered during that appointment.
RaRa is pleased to be able to go to day care nearly every day, and is enjoying every moment she spends with the children there. Considering this time of year sometimes brings on winter doldrums, we are glad all is well. In fact, now that there is snow on the top of Mount Tam, RaRa is hoping to see a dance in the form of snow flurries outside her window!
