Sherryl is getting much sleep at home and, when awake, is resting comfortably. She has resumed taking all medications as prescribed and is also taking an antibiotic for preventative measures. She describes feeling "like a train wreck" when she woke up Saturday morning. But she feels better today than yesterday, and she's looking forward to feeling even better tomorrow.
She's eating only soft foods, like vanilla yogurt and applesauce, and is craving peach ice cream. She is trying to make sense of how a full blown chocoholic comes to crave peach ice cream. There is no logic, but there is more congruence between chocolate and peaches than there is sense in any of the dreams she's had while sleeping the past few days.
Dreams have been weird and sometimes scary. Sherryl has described a few, some involve people she knows only by name. In hindsight, she finds these dreams somewhat humorous and somewhat entertaining, but mostly strange.
Sherryl will spend the rest of this long weekend relaxing and nesting at home. Then she'll head to day care on Tuesday. No family gatherings this weekend, just lots of rest. We wouldn't have it any other way.
