After watching Austin's Little League game on Saturday, Sherryl decided to do a little shopping -- for the day care kids, of course. But we first decided to grab a quick lunch at Subway.
As luck would have it, Sherryl's 22-year-old nephew Justin (Arleen's younger son) just happened to be free, so he headed our way, pulled up a chair at our little bistro table, and joined us for lunch. Sherryl has a special relationship with every child she's ever known; Justin is no exception. Sherryl recognizes in Justin compassion and charisma, along with his wisely selected priority in values: family first. And Justin has a special place in his heart for Sherryl, who has always made herself available to her niece and nephews to talk about anything they want to talk about any time of the day or night.
Justin always makes us laugh -- hard. Even when something he said or did when he was much younger wasn't funny at the time, in hindsight, it is absolutely hilarious. Below is a photo snapped during lunch yesterday. Justin is showing Sherryl a silly video he recorded on his cell phone during a recent road trip he took with friends. The video, which includes recorded commentary from Justin, involves cows crossing a highway he and his friends were traveling during their road trip. True to form, Justin once again had us in hysterics. What lucky timing that Justin was able join us.
